Big Brother is back with Season 27, and CBS is promising its biggest season yet. The new season premieres on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT with a 90-minute episode. The second episode airs Sunday, July 13, also as a 90-minute special.
After that, Big Brother returns to its usual schedule: Sundays and Thursdays will have 1-hour episodes, while Wednesdays get extended to 90 minutes. There’s also a new after-show called Big Brother: Unlocked, airing every other Friday starting July 25.
Julie Chen Moonves is returning as host for her 27th season. The show will once again feature contestants, called Houseguests, living in a house full of cameras and microphones. They will compete in challenges, vote each other out, and battle to win the $750,000 grand prize.
This season brings new features. Big Brother: Unlocked will let fans dive deeper into the game with All-Star guests giving analysis and behind-the-scenes looks. CBS is also teasing a spy or secret agent theme, with rumors about the return of popular twists like three nominations or the Twin Twist, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
Unlike some past seasons, Season 27 will feature a brand-new cast. No returning players, just fresh faces ready to compete for the top prize. The official cast list will be revealed shortly before the premiere.
Big Brother 27 also marks a major milestone: the 25th anniversary of the show’s U.S. run. It’s expected to run 80 to 90 days, with a possible extension, just like previous recent seasons.
Fans can watch Big Brother on CBS, Paramount+, and Pluto TV (for the free 24/7 live feeds).
With more episodes, a new after-show, and bigger twists, Big Brother 27 promises to be the most exciting season yet.
