Rockstar Games has confirmed several locations players will explore in Grand Theft Auto VI, all set in the fictional state of Leonida, based on Florida.
This new setting is bigger and more diverse than GTA 5’s Los Santos, offering everything from beaches and clubs to swamps and wilderness.
At the center of it all is Vice City, a modern take on Miami. Unlike the 1980s version from GTA: Vice City, this city feels current. Players can expect to roam the beach, visit Little Cuba, dance in clubs, and run into shady deals at VC Port.
Leonida Keys, inspired by the Florida Keys, adds a tropical touch with fast boats, island hopping, and high-speed escapes from the Coast Guard.
Grassrivers brings in the swamp life, clearly modeled after the Everglades. It’s home to gators, dangerous locals, and murky waters perfect for hidden crimes.
Port Gellhorn, based on Key West, offers a rundown, gritty atmosphere. It’s a place full of motels and crime, where trouble is never far behind.
Ambrosia is described as the “heart of Leonida.” Though Rockstar hasn’t shared much detail, fans think it may be inspired by St. Augustine or Clewiston. It may play a major role in the story.
Mount Kalaga gives players a wild, rural escape. It’s home to forests, hunting spots, and conspiracy theorists. Think of it as the perfect mix of nature and chaos.
These locations promise a mix of city lights, coastal chaos, and countryside crime. GTA 6 launches May 26, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. Get ready to explore every corner of Leonida.
