An Italian startup, Artinoise, has launched the Zefiro, a USB-C mouthpiece that turns your mobile device into a playable wind instrument.
This compact device looks like a small vape or flash drive, but when you blow into it, it can produce sound through a mobile app, simulating various instruments.
Available through Kickstarter, the Zefiro is priced at โฌ22 ($24) for early backers, with full retail expected to be โฌ42 ($45). A Pro version with an accelerometer is also available for โฌ39 ($42).
The device connects to iOS and Android smartphones and offers a customizable app interface, where users can play different instruments, record their performance, and share it.
The Zefiro is a more affordable alternative to high-end MIDI controllers, offering a fun and portable way to make music on the go. It also functions as a standard MIDI controller, compatible with desktop and laptop music software.
Additionally, Artinoise offers a headset holder that enables hands-free use, allowing users to play other instruments while using the Zefiro.
