YouTube Tests Cheaper Premium Plan for Two People

YouTube is testing a new Premium subscription plan made for just two users.

The plan is now available in select regions, including India, France, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

This new option gives two people in the same household access to YouTube Premium at a lower price than buying two separate accounts.

In India, the plan costs Rs 219 per month, while the regular family plan for up to five users costs Rs 299.

The new plan could save money for couples or small families who don’t need the full family option. It also includes YouTube Music, unlike the cheaper Premium Lite plan, which doesn’t offer music streaming.

YouTube has not shared when or if the two-person plan will be available in more countries. The company is testing it first to see how users respond.

Google is adding more subscription choices as more people watch YouTube on TVs instead of phones.

This new plan is part of its effort to offer flexible and affordable options to users around the world.
