Hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan performed their last-ever New York City concert at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night, bringing out numerous guest stars for a two-hour celebration of the group’s 32-year career.

The show, part of the group’s farewell Final Chamber tour, featured appearances by Redman, Lil Kim, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, The LOX, and members of SWV, among others. The performance marked one of only three remaining concerts before Wu-Tang Clan officially ends touring.

All eight surviving members of the Staten Island group performed together, including RZA, GZA, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa, and Method Man. They were joined by Young Dirty Bastard, son of late member Ol’ Dirty Bastard, who died in 2004.

The concert was structured in four segments, beginning with the group performing most tracks from their iconic 1993 debut album “Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers.” Guest performers then joined different members for collaborations, including Method Man with Redman performing “Da Rockwilder” and appearances during classic tracks like “Shook Ones Pt. II” and “Children’s Story.”

RZA, the group’s leader and producer, repeatedly told the audience that the show celebrated not just Wu-Tang Clan but hip-hop’s entire 50-year history. The group paid tribute to deceased hip-hop artists including Nate Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, Guru of Gang Starr, Phife Dawg, and Biz Markie.

Notable moments included Slick Rick emerging from a trap door in the stage floor and Young Dirty Bastard leading the crowd through his father’s hits “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” and “Got Your Money.”

The evening concluded with the group performing “C.R.E.A.M.” before ending with “Triumph” from their 1997 album “Wu-Tang Forever.” RZA led the crowd in a “Wu-Tang Forever” chant, declaring “Hip-hop has been inspiring the entire world for over 50 years!”

Historically, getting all Wu-Tang members together has been challenging due to scheduling conflicts and personal issues. However, recent years have shown improved unity within the group, which was evident during the Garden performance.

The Final Chamber tour continues with only two more shows scheduled. The group’s final performance is set for Friday in Philadelphia, marking the end of Wu-Tang Clan’s touring career.

The concert showcased the group’s extensive catalog, including solo hits like “Incarcerated Scarfaces,” “Ice Cream,” “Bring the Pain,” and “Liquid Swords,” demonstrating their lasting influence on hip-hop culture.
