Xiaomi is working on a new premium tablet that could rival the iPad. According to tech blogger Digital Chat Station, the upcoming tablet will feature a 5900mAh dual-cell battery, offering an equivalent capacity of 12,000mAh, and support 120W fast charging.

The tablet’s 12,000mAh equivalent battery promises long-lasting performance, perfect for power users and gamers. With 120W fast charging, users will be able to recharge their device much faster, setting a new standard for tablets.

This new tablet will be a flagship device, priced around 4,000 yuan (~$550). Unlike the Xiaomi Tablet 7 series, it will not be part of the REDMI line and will be positioned in the premium segment.

The Xiaomi Tablet 7 Pro, released in October 2024, features an 11.2-inch screen with a 3.2K resolution, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, 8850mAh battery, and 67W HyperCharge.

The new tablet will offer a significant upgrade in battery capacity and charging speed, making it an attractive option for professionals and power users.

Like the Tablet 7 series, the new tablet will come with Xiaomi HyperOS 2, offering PC-level multitasking, WPS Office support, and compatibility with Apple productivity apps like Keynote and Pages. It will also feature a global AI Smart Assistant for increased productivity.

The tablet market is seeing high demand for devices with long battery life, fast charging, and high performance.

Xiaomi’s new tablet could fill this gap, especially for users involved in multitasking, gaming, and creative work. With a competitive price and flagship hardware, this tablet could easily compete with the iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

Xiaomi’s upcoming tablet, with its huge 12,000mAh equivalent battery and 120W fast charging, could break new ground in the tablet market.

If priced competitively, it could become a top contender in the premium segment.
