ASUS has introduced the V16 (V3607), a new 16-inch gaming laptop designed for those on a budget. Although it’s an entry-level model, the V16 impresses with its sleek design and solid performance.
The laptop features a blue keyboard backlight, neon-highlighted WASD and arrow keys, and a Matte Black finish that resists fingerprints.
It’s powered by up to an Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, making it capable of running most games smoothly.
The V16 also has an advanced cooling system with dual fans and heat pipes to maintain performance during long gaming sessions. With up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM, it’s built to handle demanding tasks.
The 16-inch FHD IPS display has a 144Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering a smooth gaming experience, though the 1080p resolution might limit frame rates in some games.
The laptop also includes Dirac audio technology and ASUS’ Audio Booster feature for better sound quality.
Other features include a large touchpad, a comfortable ASUS ErgoSense keyboard, and an enhanced video conferencing system with AI noise-cancellation and 3D Noise Reduction. It meets MIL-STD-810H military standards and has a physical camera shutter for added privacy.
Pricing and availability details haven’t been revealed yet, but it’s expected to be priced under $1,000. More information will likely be available during CES 2025.
