Tecno has officially announced HiOS 15, its latest Android-based operating system. This new version brings a cleaner look, faster performance, and several AI-powered features for a better user experience.
The updated UI is simpler, with 40% fewer pre-installed apps. Tecno has added new animations, faster transitions, and fresh minimal icons. App opening times are now 15% quicker, making the phone feel faster.
HiOS 15 also includes MemFusion 3.0 and memory defragmentation to help the device use memory more efficiently. A feature called Sensory Scheduling 2.0 lets users multitask smoothly with up to 25 apps at the same time. A new “Blank Data” mode can hide user data from apps for better privacy.
One standout feature is the wireless mic mode, which allows the phone to work as a microphone when connected to a speaker.
Tecno has packed HiOS 15 with advanced AI features. AI Call Assistant can translate, transcribe, and summarize calls in real time, including WhatsApp calls. AI Auto Answer can pick up calls and summarize them when users are away.
AI Voiceprint removes background noise, while AI Screen Awareness gives context to on-screen content. There’s also an AI Writing & Document Assistant.
Other AI tools include AI Eraser 2.0, AI Image Extender, AI Wallpaper Generator, AI Sharpness Plus, and a tool to blur sensitive info in screenshots.
Tecno also confirmed that HiOS 15 is made with Indian users in mind. It works with Indian AI models like Sarvam AI to support local languages better. Its virtual assistant Ella AI currently supports Hindi, and soon will support Bengali, Tamil, Gujarati, and Marathi.
