Target has announced it will have a very limited in-store supply of the Nintendo Switch 2 available on Thursday, June 5, following a wave of sold-out pre-orders. Shoppers are allowed to line up before stores open.
The Nintendo Switch 2 features a larger screen and new buttons on the inside of the Joy-Con controllers, but retains a design similar to the original model.
Pre-orders for the console sold out within two days and faced delays due to global tariffs, according to the company.
On June 5, Target stores will carry both the standard Nintendo Switch 2 and a bundle with Mario Kart World. An online release will follow on June 6, while supplies last.
To manage demand, Target will hand out digital or physical tickets to secure a spot in line. These tickets will be distributed until all are claimed or 10 minutes before the store opens. Each guest will be limited to one console per item.
