Former BIGBANG member T.O.P, now known as Choi Seung Hyun in his acting career, recently discussed the challenges he faced while filming his character Thanos in the second season of Netflix’s “Squid Game.”

In an interview, T.O.P revealed that he and director Hwang Dong Hyuk collaborated closely to develop Thanos as an unsettling and “cringey” character. To achieve this, T.O.P employed exaggerated gestures and outdated mannerisms.

One of the most challenging scenes for T.O.P involved rapping to impress his co-star, Song Ji Woo. Despite his extensive experience as a rapper, T.O.P admitted that rapping to attract a woman was a completely new experience for him.

T.O.P collaborated closely with the director to refine the rap, opting for a shorter, more unconventional style to fit Thanos’s character. He even sent a video of his initial rap attempt to the director for feedback.

T.O.P’s dedication to creating a unique and memorable character for “Squid Game” is evident in his willingness to step outside his comfort zone and embrace the challenge.
