SZA has expressed her excitement about the possibility of collaborating on a joint album with Kendrick Lamar.

The Grammy-winning singer shared her thoughts during an appearance on SHERRI while promoting her upcoming film, One of Them Days, co-starring Keke Palmer.

    A Dream Collaboration

When host Sherri Shepherd asked about a potential album with Kendrick, SZA responded enthusiastically, saying, “I would love that. I think that would be amazing. He’s such a genius.”

She praised Lamar’s mysterious and elusive artistry, citing his influence on her career and creative process.

SZA also reminisced about working on tracks like “luther” and “gloria” from Lamar’s surprise 2024 album GNX, describing her admiration for his unique approach to music.

    Longstanding Partnership

SZA and Kendrick Lamar have a history of collaborations dating back to 2014’s “Babylon” on SZA’s Z EP.

Over the years, they’ve worked together on tracks like “All The Stars” (Black Panther soundtrack) and “Doves In The Wind” (Ctrl).

Their latest collaboration, “30 For 30,” appears on SZA’s SOS Deluxe: LANA, released in December 2024.

    Upcoming Grand National Tour

Fans will soon see the duo perform live during their Grand National Tour, starting April 19 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The tour will cover major North American stadiums, including stops in Houston, Atlanta, Toronto, and Washington, D.C., concluding on June 18.

While there’s no official confirmation yet, the idea of a joint album between SZA and Kendrick Lamar has fans buzzing.

With their history of creating memorable tracks together, such a project could be a groundbreaking addition to both artists’ discographies.
