Spotify Makes Podcast Listening Easier with New Feed and Features

Spotify is rolling out new podcast-focused updates that make it easier for users to stay on top of their favorite shows and discover new content.

A new Following feed is coming to the app’s Home section. This feed shows all the latest episodes from podcasts you already follow in one convenient place. Spotify says users have found it difficult to keep track of new episodes, and this change is meant to solve that issue.

In addition to the new feed, podcast recommendations will now appear right on your Home screen, just below your shortcuts. These suggestions can include both audio and video podcasts, and Spotify might even include a short explanation of why a podcast is being recommended to help users connect with new content more easily.

Spotify is also introducing new tools for creators. A new “In this episode” section will soon appear on episode pages, allowing creators to link to music or content they talk about during their show. This update will roll out in the coming weeks.

To make podcast interaction more engaging, Spotify is adding threaded replies and emoji reactions to episode comments, giving fans more ways to interact and respond.

With these changes, Spotify continues to strengthen its position as a leading destination for podcasts, offering both listeners and creators better tools to discover, follow, and engage.
