Las Vegas’ revolutionary entertainment venue, the Sphere, is set to host its first-ever electronic dance music (EDM) show on New Year’s Eve 2024. Anyma, the solo project of Tale of Us member Matteo Milleri, will present his ambitious audio-visual show “The End of Genesys” at the cutting-edge venue.
The event, presented by Live Nation, will showcase Anyma’s work from his “Genesys” and “Genesys II” albums. The announcement hints at possible appearances by special guests, potentially including collaborators like Grimes and Sevdaliza.
Known for its groundbreaking technology, the Sphere boasts the world’s highest-resolution LED display and an advanced concert-grade audio system called Sphere Immersive Sound. These features will be combined with Anyma and Afterlife’s signature production style, promising a sensory-expanding experience that pushes the boundaries of live performance.
The choice of Anyma for the Sphere’s first EDM show has raised some eyebrows, given the artist’s relatively niche status compared to mainstream EDM superstars. However, industry insiders point to Anyma’s headlining sets at Afterlife festivals and prominent performances at major events like Coachella as justification for the booking.
Tickets for this one-night-only performance will go on sale Tuesday, July 23 at 9 a.m. PT. The event marks a new direction for the Sphere, which has previously hosted residencies by rock acts such as U2, Dead & Company, and Phish.
This New Year’s Eve spectacle is set to usher in 2025 with a blend of cutting-edge technology and electronic music, potentially setting a new standard for immersive EDM experiences in Las Vegas.
