Sony Confirms No Major Risk of Players Moving from PS5 to PC

Sony remains confident that there is no significant risk of players transitioning from PlayStation 5 (PS5) to PC, despite recent price hikes for the PS5 and the introduction of the more expensive PS5 Pro.

During a shareholders’ Q&A last month, Sony addressed questions surrounding the impact of price increases and how exclusives might influence player decisions.

Sony reassured investors that the PS5’s transition from the PS4 is going well, noting an increase in digital transactions and a higher rate of software purchases among PS5 users.

The company acknowledged the challenges posed by price hikes in some regions, including Japan, but still sees no evidence of players moving from PS5 to PC.

Despite the concerns over the high cost of the PS5 Pro, Sony remains confident that its console will continue to thrive, particularly given the strong loyalty of its user base.
