Severance — Apple TV

With Severance Season 2 nearing its finale, fans are eagerly waiting for news about a third season.

Despite the show’s massive popularity, Apple TV+ has not officially confirmed its renewal.

Conflicting Reports About Season 3

Ben Stiller, the show’s director and executive producer, has hinted that a third season is in progress.

He mentioned that a writers’ room is already working on it, and there won’t be another long delay like before.

However, Apple’s PR team has stated that Severance Season 3 has not yet been greenlit.

At a reported cost of $20 million per episode, Apple’s decision might be influenced by their plans to reduce spending on original content.

However, they have renewed other hit shows before their seasons ended, such as Slow Horses.

Why Severance Season 3 Is Likely to Happen

Despite the lack of official confirmation, Severance is Apple TV+’s most-watched series. It has even surpassed Ted Lasso in viewership, making it a major success for the streaming platform.

Apple has praised the show’s impact, calling it a “cultural phenomenon.” Given its popularity and critical acclaim, Severance Season 3 seems inevitable.

Apple may simply be waiting until the Season 2 finale airs before making an official announcement. Fans can expect an update soon.
