Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still set to launch in Fall 2025.

Speaking to Variety, Zelnick assured fans that there are no changes to the highly anticipated game’s release window.

Meanwhile, another major Take-Two title, Borderlands 4, has been moved from the company’s 2026 fiscal year (April 2025 – March 2026) to a more flexible “sometime in 2025” launch window.

However, Zelnick did not provide a specific date, saying, “You will have a date soon, and then all will become clear.”

GTA 6’s Influence on the Gaming Industry

The hype surrounding GTA 6 is shaping the industry even before its launch. Reports suggest that many game developers are delaying their own releases to avoid competing with Rockstar’s blockbuster title.

The game’s massive popularity has also sparked discussions about higher game prices. Some industry insiders believe Take-Two may set the price at $100 or more, which could influence pricing trends for other upcoming games.

For now, Grand Theft Auto 6 remains on track for a Fall 2025 release. Fans are eagerly waiting for Rockstar Games to announce an exact date.
