Roblox’s popular farming game Grow a Garden has broken the world record for the most players online at the same time. On June 14, 2025, the game reached 16,411,769 concurrent players, beating the previous record held by Fortnite, which peaked at 14.3 million players during a live event.

Grow a Garden is a simple farming simulator where players grow plants, collect rare pets, and enjoy peaceful gameplay. The game’s relaxing style, offline growth features, and frequent updates have made it a favorite among players of all ages.

The recent success came after the release of the game’s 1.10.0 update, which gave a free pet to players who logged in at launch. This limited-time offer pushed player numbers to new heights, surpassing Fortnite’s record by about 14%.

For perspective, the number of players online in Grow a Garden was larger than the populations of New Zealand and Norway combined. It also beat the all-time peak player counts of the top 10 games on Steam combined, showing just how massive this moment was for gaming.

This record shows how casual, community-driven games are now leading the gaming world. Grow a Garden has captured global attention and continues to grow, especially among younger players on Roblox.

In the end, Grow a Garden has made history, setting a new global standard for concurrent players and proving that simple, fun games can dominate the world of online
