Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition Unveiled with Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dual Cameras

Realme has launched the GT 7 Pro Racing Edition, a variant of the GT 7 Pro that brings changes to the camera, display, storage, and battery.

While it keeps the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the Racing Edition trims down some features to offer a different experience.

    Camera Changes and Display Tweaks

Unlike the GT 7 Pro, which features a triple camera setup, the Racing Edition comes with just two rear cameras. It drops the 50MP telephoto lens, leaving a 50MP primary sensor (Sony IMX896) and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The 16MP front camera remains unchanged.

The display also sees a small downgrade. While the GT 7 Pro had a Samsung Eco2 OLED Plus screen with 120% DCI-P3 coverage and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, the Racing Edition uses a standard OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and an optical fingerprint scanner.

    Faster Storage and Bypass Charging

One of the biggest upgrades is in storage speed. The Racing Edition uses UFS 4.1 instead of UFS 4.0, making data transfers and app launches even faster.

Another highlight is bypass charging, which allows users to power the phone directly without stressing the battery during gaming or heavy usage.

    Price and Availability

The Realme GT 7 Pro Racing Edition is available in grey and blue and comes in four configurations in China:

    • 12GB/256GB – CNY3,099 ($425/€405/INR36,820)
    • 16GB/256GB – CNY3,399 ($465/€445/INR40,385)
    • 12GB/512GB – CNY3,699 ($505/€485/INR43,950)
    • 16GB/512GB – CNY3,999 ($550/€525/INR47,510)

For now, the device is only available in China through Realme’s website. There is no confirmation on whether it will launch globally, so international users may have to stick with the regular GT 7 Pro.
