Pokémon Go Growlithe Spotlight Hour Coming June 24 — Here’s What to Know

Pokémon Go players have a fun event to look forward to in June 2025. The Spotlight Hour is a weekly one-hour event where a specific Pokémon appears more often, making it easier for trainers to catch them. Each hour also comes with a special bonus to help players level up or collect resources.

The next Spotlight Hour will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. This week’s featured Pokémon is Growlithe. During this hour, Growlithe will spawn more frequently, giving players a great chance to catch many of them. The event bonus for this hour is double experience points (XP) when evolving Pokémon.

Growlithe can be shiny, and although the shiny rate does not increase during Spotlight Hour, the higher spawn rates mean players have a better chance to find a shiny Growlithe.

To prepare for the event, trainers should gather enough Poké Balls, berries, and clear space in their Pokémon storage. Using items like Incense, Pinap Berries, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces can help maximize catches, candies, XP, and Stardust during the hour.

Spotlight Hours last just 60 minutes, so being ready can make the most of the event. Trainers are encouraged to catch as many featured Pokémon as possible to complete their Pokédex or collect candies for evolution.

Keep an eye out for weekly updates, as each Spotlight Hour features a different Pokémon and bonus.
