Sony’s State of Play for February 2025 was packed with exciting game reveals, new trailers, and release date announcements for PS5 and PS4 games.
From Saros, the next project from Housemarque after Returnal, to a highly-anticipated Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake, this event showcased a variety of upcoming titles for PlayStation fans.
New Games and Announcements

Saros – Housemarque’s Next Game
Following the success of Returnal, Housemarque revealed their upcoming title Saros, set to release in 2026. Players will assume the role of Arjun Devraj, a Soltari Enforcer searching for answers on the planet Carcosa, which is under threat from an ominous eclipse. The game promises permanent progression systems and a world that reshapes with every death, making each playthrough unique.
Days Gone Remastered – Coming to PS5
The beloved Days Gone is being remastered for PS5, and it’s bringing VRR support, PS5 Pro enhancements, and new game modes, including Permadeath and Horde Assault. The remaster will be available on April 25, 2025, with a $10 upgrade available for owners of the PS4 version.
Borderlands 4
The official release date for Borderlands 4 has been confirmed: September 23, 2025. Gearbox also debuted a brand-new gameplay trailer for the much-anticipated sequel, and there’s an additional Borderlands-themed State of Play event slated for later this spring.
Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater
After much anticipation, Konami confirmed the release of Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater on August 28, 2025. This remake will bring the iconic Snake Eater experience to PS5 with modernized gameplay, new features, and an exciting Ape Escape collaboration.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Capcom revealed a new Onimusha game, Way of the Sword, set to release in 2026. The game introduces Miyamoto Musashi, the famed swordsman, as its protagonist. A fresh gameplay trailer showcased new combat mechanics and Musashi’s journey through a beautifully recreated world.
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance
A new entry in the Shinobi franchise, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, is set to launch on August 29, 2025 for both PS5 and PS4. The game follows Joe Musashi on a quest for vengeance after tragedy strikes. It will feature exploration mechanics and unlockable abilities, enhancing the game’s replayability.

- Tides of Annihilation – A narrative-driven action-adventure set in a post-apocalyptic London, coming 2025.
- Lies of P: Overture – A prequel DLC for Lies of P slated for release this summer.
- Warriors: Abyss – A roguelite spin-off of Dynasty Warriors, launching today for PS5 and PS4.
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – Featuring dynamic racing with portals to different worlds, releasing on multiple platforms including PS5.
