Now, ChatGPT Plus users, who pay $20 per month, can also access it. The Deep Research AI agent is also available to ChatGPT Team, Education, and Enterprise users.
The Deep Research AI agent is powered by a special version of the o3 reasoning model. It can browse the web and perform deep research on any topic. The agent takes about 5 to 30 minutes to create a detailed report with citations. Many experts say it is a great tool for scientific research.
ChatGPT Plus users can perform up to 10 queries per month with the Deep Research AI agent. In contrast, ChatGPT Pro users can perform up to 120 queries per month. This tool is currently the only way to access the full o3 model until the GPT-5 model is released.
OpenAI has improved the Deep Research AI agent. It now includes embedded images and better citations. It can also understand and reference uploaded files more effectively. OpenAI has also released a system card for Deep Research, rating its cybersecurity risk as “Medium” for the first time.
