OnePlus has shared new details about its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 13, ahead of its January 7 launch.
The phone introduces a unique “Microfiber Vegan Leather” backplate and a micro-curve display that enhances both style and usability.
Vegan Leather for Style and Comfort
The “Midnight Blue” version of the OnePlus 13 uses a Microfiber Vegan Leather finish.
According to Ryan Ruan, head of OnePlus’s Industrial Design Center, this material offers a natural leather-like grip while staying durable and sustainable.
It feels softer than other vegan leather options and doesn’t interfere with wireless charging.
Flat Display with a Micro-Curve
The OnePlus 13 has a flat display, but with a subtle micro-curve on all four sides. This design provides a more comfortable hand feel and better drop resistance compared to sharp-edged flat displays.
The screen is protected by Ceramic Guard Glass, which is reinforced with nano crystalline, making it twice as drop-resistant as standard glass.
Balanced and Durable Design
The OnePlus 13 is designed with 50/50 weight distribution, ensuring perfect balance when held. It also boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Powerful Battery and Launch Date
The device packs a 6,000mAh silicon battery for extended use. The global launch is set for January 7, 2025, with more features expected to be revealed during the event.
