Nothing has started rolling out the stable version of its Nothing OS 3.0 update for the Nothing Phone (2) and Nothing Phone (2a). The update is based on Android 15 and follows months of beta testing that began in October.

Gradual Rollout

The update is being released in stages. Some users may need to wait a few days or even weeks to receive it. Nothing expects the rollout to be complete by the end of the year. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check manually by going to Settings > System Update.

New Features in Nothing OS 3.0

  • Nothing Gallery App: A new app for managing photos, with better search options and tools like filters, markup, and smart suggestions for quick photo edits.
  • Customizable Lock Screen: Add Shared Widgets to connect with friends or a Countdown Widget for important events.
  • Smart Drawer: Uses AI to organize apps into folders automatically for easier access.
  • Improved Quick Settings: Faster controls for commonly used features.
  • Pop-up View Enhancements: Better multitasking experience.
  • New Fonts: Cleaner and easier-to-read system fonts.

There are also visual and performance upgrades, though the company hasn’t shared all the details yet.

Future Updates

Nothing plans to bring the update to more devices soon. The Nothing Phone (1), Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, and CMF Phone 1 are expected to receive the update in early 2025.

If you own a supported device, stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks!
