Members of popular K-pop group NewJeans have announced they are leaving their agency, ADOR, a subsidiary of HYBE, following a dispute with the company.
Despite the departure, ADOR stated that the agreement with the group remains in effect and requested that NewJeans continue collaborating on upcoming activities.
The move comes amid internal conflict between HYBE executives and ADOR’s former CEO, who was also the band’s creative director.
The members expressed their desire to work with Min Hee-jin, the former ADOR chief, after she left the agency.
Danielle, a member of the group, shared their wish to release new music soon for their fans, known as Bunnies.
However, the band members acknowledged that they might not be able to use the “NewJeans” name once they terminate their contract with ADOR.
