HYBE’s recent announcement about NewJeans has caused a stir among fans.

The group had previously announced they were leaving ADOR and HYBE, but the company insisted that their contract was still valid and continued to share posts on social media.

On December 23, a post about a season’s greetings pop-up was shared, directing fans to Weverse where they could purchase special merchandise.

However, fans quickly voiced their anger. Many criticized the quality and price of the merchandise, comparing it to previous releases under Min Hee Jin’s leadership.

Some even accused HYBE of continuing to use NewJeans for profit, calling the move “shameless.”

Despite the controversy, NewJeans is continuing their activities independently, free from HYBE and ADOR.

Fans are closely watching the ongoing situation as the group moves forward on their own terms.
