Music streaming platform SoundCloud has introduced a new, affordable plan for artists. Called the “Artist” plan, it costs $39 per year and offers a range of features at a lower price.
The Artist plan allows artists to upload up to 3 hours of music, the same as the free plan. However, it also includes features like track amplification, monetization, and AI mastering for up to two tracks per month.
Artists can also replace three tracks each month without losing stats, plays, or comments. Plus, they get one free track mastering credit per month.
This new plan follows a successful pilot in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, and SoundCloud is now rolling it out worldwide. For artists who need more features, there’s also an upgraded Artist Pro plan for $99 per year.
This plan includes unlimited track uploads, additional monetization options, and three AI mastering credits each month.
SoundCloud’s CEO, Eliah Seton, explained, “We created the Artist plan to provide emerging musicians with professional tools and distribution at an affordable price.”
