A new feature may be coming to the Google Phone app on the Pixel 9 series, potentially allowing AI-generated to-do lists based on call conversations.
An APK teardown of the Google Phone app has uncovered code referencing a โCall To-do Listโ, which expands upon the existing Call Notes functionality.
Currently, Pixel devices include the Call Notes feature, which utilizes Gemini Nano to automatically summarize calls and highlight important points.
It appears that this feature will soon evolve to not just summarize conversations but also generate actionable to-do lists.
According to the teardown, the new Call To-do List feature will automatically extract tasks discussed during calls, allowing users to review, copy, and share these lists directly from their call logs.
The feature will work entirely on-device, ensuring privacy by processing the data locally.
Additionally, an upcoming update to the Google Dialer will show users how many spam calls it has declined each month, providing more control over call management.
While these features havenโt been officially confirmed yet, they might be included in future updates to the Pixel 9 series. Stay tuned for more details when or if they become publicly available.
