Anker is recalling around 80,000 of its Soundcore and PowerConf Bluetooth speakers after receiving reports of overheating lithium-ion batteries. In some cases, the batteries emitted smoke or caused small fires.

The affected models — A3102016, A3302011, and A3302031 — were sold exclusively on Amazon in 2023, with prices ranging from $28 to $130.

Of the total units sold, about 69,000 were in the US, and 9,764 were sold in Canada.

Anker and Amazon have contacted all known buyers. To check if your speaker is affected, look for the SN code printed on the underside of the speaker and enter it on Anker’s website. Affected customers will receive free replacement speakers.

Consumers who own these speakers should stop using them immediately, turn them off, and disconnect them from chargers or other power sources.
