    Microsoft Surface Pro 12

Microsoft has launched two new Surface devices – the Surface Pro 12 and the Surface Laptop 13.

Both devices are powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X Plus chip and come with Windows 11 and Microsoft’s new Copilot+ PC AI features built-in.

    Surface Pro 12

The Surface Pro 12 is a 12-inch 2-in-1 tablet-laptop with a 90Hz LCD touchscreen and stylus support. It has a 3:2 aspect ratio, a detachable keyboard, and the signature kickstand.

The Surface Slim Pen is included and charges magnetically on the back. The device features a 1080p front camera with Windows Hello and a 10MP rear camera.

It includes 16GB of RAM, 256GB or 512GB of storage, and Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, but no LTE option. Microsoft has removed the magnetic Surface Connect charger; now you get 2 USB-C ports (USB 3.2 + DP 1.4a).

The body is made of aluminum, weighs 686g, and is just 7.8mm thick. Microsoft claims up to 16 hours of video playback.

It comes in Platinum, Violet, and Ocean colors. Pricing starts at $800, with shipping beginning May 20.

    Surface Laptop 13

The new Surface Laptop 13 is Microsoft’s smallest laptop yet. It has a 13-inch LCD screen, a 1080p webcam (but no Windows Hello), and the same Snapdragon X Plus chip with 16GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. Battery life is claimed to be up to 23 hours of video playback.

You get USB-A, two USB-C ports, a headphone jack, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. It weighs 1.22kg and comes in Platinum, Violet, and Ocean colors. Pricing starts at $900, with availability from May 20.
