Marvel Studio Fantastic Four First Steps Teaser

Marvel Studios has officially denied using AI-generated artwork for its latest Fantastic Four: First Steps posters after fans noticed bizarre inconsistencies in one of the promotional images.

The controversy began when eagle-eyed fans spotted a man appearing to have only four fingers while holding a Fantastic Four flag.

Alongside this, odd facial duplications and misaligned features led to speculation that the poster was created using generative AI.

However, a Disney/Marvel spokesperson told IGN that AI was not involved, suggesting that the peculiar mistakes may be the result of a rushed Photoshop job or digital manipulation errors rather than artificial intelligence.

Marvel has yet to provide a detailed explanation for the missing finger mystery, but the incident has fueled concerns over the growing presence of AI in entertainment marketing.

Fans will be watching closely as new promotional materials for Fantastic Four: First Steps are released.
