Apple is gearing up for several big launches in 2025, and Mark Gurman has shared the details in his latest Power On newsletter.
The company is set to release new products, including updated MacBooks, iPads, and the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series.
Apple is expected to start the year with new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models (J713 and J715). These devices will feature the new Apple M4 chip and are already in production.
Next up is the iPhone SE, which is rumored to launch in Spring 2025. The new iPhone SE will feature the Apple A18 chip and a body similar to the iPhone 14. It will be the most affordable iPhone to run Apple Intelligence, with a starting price of $429.
Gurman also reports that Apple will release two new entry-level iPads (J481 and J482) in 2025. These iPads will come with the Apple A17 Pro chip and 8GB of RAM, similar to the latest iPad mini. The boosted specs will allow the iPads to run Apple’s advanced features like Apple Intelligence.
Additionally, new iPad Air models (J607, J608, J637, and J638) are expected to launch, featuring the Apple M4 chip. These models will have a design similar to the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Airs that launched last year.
In another exciting development, Apple is working on a new smart home hub that will feature a 7-inch touchscreen.
This device will help users manage household tasks, run apps, and make video calls. The smart home hub is expected to launch in March 2025, though it may take some time before it’s widely available for purchase.
Finally, the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series is expected to launch in the fall. The lineup will include the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and the iPhone 17 Air.
The iPhone 17 Air will be especially notable for being over 2mm thinner than the current iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models, with a thickness of just 5.5mm. It will feature a base-level A19 chip and a single camera on the back.
Apple’s 2025 lineup is shaping up to be full of exciting new products, and fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcements.
