Apple is reportedly postponing several major iOS 19 features until the iOS 19.4 update, expected to release in spring 2026.
This approach is similar to the delays seen with iOS 18, where the revamped Siri won’t arrive until iOS 18.4 next year.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the postponed features go beyond the new “LLM Siri,” a next-generation assistant designed to perform tasks similar to ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini.
While Apple is expected to unveil iOS 19 at WWDC in June 2025 and release it to the public in September alongside the iPhone 17, many of its standout features will take much longer to reach users.
Apple’s decision to delay these updates indicates a focus on refining the software, though it may test the patience of users eagerly awaiting these advancements.
