Lady Gaga has officially announced her next album, Mayhem. The 14-track album, previously teased as “LG7,” will release on March 7, 2025, via Interscope Records.
A new song from the album will premiere during the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 2. The music video will debut during a commercial break.
Gaga described the album as a return to her pop roots. In a press release, she said, “It started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved. It’s like reassembling a shattered mirror—imperfect but beautiful in a new way.”
The album is executive-produced by Gaga, Michael Polansky, and Andrew Watt. Producers include Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein.
Speculation about Mayhem began in 2024 when Gaga hinted at its release while promoting Joker: Folie à Deux.
She later released the single “Disease” and teased the album with billboards and a countdown on her website.
The album will also feature her 2024 collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile.”
Speaking to Vogue, Gaga shared, “There’s pain in this album. Exploring that pain brought out another side of my artistry. When I’m in the studio, I can face my demons—and that’s the music.”
Gaga has been busy leading up to the album release, including covering “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” performing at a Kamala Harris rally, and securing a headline spot at Coachella 2025.
