YouTube sensation and boxing pioneer KSI has announced his return to the ring with a bold challenge: a 2v1 tag-team match against Slim Albaher and Anthony Taylor. This unique bout is set to take place on August 31, marking KSI’s comeback to boxing after a 10-month hiatus.
KSI, who lost to Tommy Fury in late 2023, took a break from boxing and the internet before resuming his YouTube activities and focusing on his business ventures, including Prime Hydration. In a recent YouTube video, he called out his opponents, stating that he wanted to challenge himself and prove a point.
“They’ve told me to fight a warm-up fight since I’ve had 10 months off,” KSI explained. “What they forget, ladies and gentlemen, is that I am not Jake Paul. I want to fight. I am here to fight. I want to challenge myself.”
KSI gave Slim and Anthony Taylor 24 hours to respond, but both fighters have already accepted the challenge on social media. Slim Albaher confidently tweeted, “2V1 lmao, I’d know his lights out by myself,” while Anthony Taylor also publicly accepted the offer, indicating that the fight is all but confirmed.
Interestingly, former unified super-lightweight world champion Amir Khan had been in discussions to fight KSI in August, but it appears that KSI’s focus remains on this 2v1 tag-team match.
In addition to this upcoming fight, KSI has also made a final offer to his long-time rival Jake Paul, proposing a bout at 185lbs. This ongoing rivalry continues to generate significant interest in the boxing world.
KSI’s return to the ring promises to be an exciting and unpredictable event, with the 2v1 tag-team match against Slim Albaher and Anthony Taylor set to take place on August 31.
