Kanye West Pulls Donda 2 From Streaming After Legal Threats Over Unpaid Beats

Kanye West’s album Donda 2 was removed from all major streaming platforms just hours after its release due to legal threats.

The rapper explained on social media that the takedown came after a dispute over unpaid production work.

Donda 2, which was previously only available on Kanye’s Stem Player device, briefly became available on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music on April 30.

However, it was quickly pulled down after DeAndre “Free” Maiden, the manager of producers Jahmal “Boogz Da Beast” Gwin and Brian “AllDay” Miller, contacted West and threatened legal action.

The two producers reportedly worked on eight out of the album’s 18 tracks. Maiden claimed Kanye used their beats without consent and had not paid them in nearly three years.

He warned that lawyers would have the album removed within the hour if the issue wasn’t resolved.

Kanye responded publicly, stating that Maiden was trying to charge him $3 million for beats from producers he had mentored. Despite this, he confirmed that the album would be taken down.

This is just the latest controversy involving West in a year filled with headlines. From shocking fashion choices to personal confessions, he continues to stir public and media attention.
