In just under a year since their debut, the K-pop rookie group RESCENE has made a huge impact in the global music scene.
With their debut mini-album “SCENEDROME” recognized by Billboard as one of the “25 Best K-Pop Albums of 2024” and their hit track “LOVE ATTACK” earning a spot on Grammy.com‘s “10 K-Pop Songs That Electrified 2024,” RESCENE is aiming even higher with their second mini-album, “Glow Up.”
A Fresh Start with “Glow Up”
Released this Wednesday, “Glow Up” marks another milestone for the group, which includes members Woni, Liv, Minami, May, and Zena. The album features five tracks, including the title song “Glow Up” and additional songs like “CRASH,” “Going On,” “In My Lotion,” and “Cotton Candy.”
The members explained that the theme of “glowing up” represents their growth, both as individuals and as a group.
Woni, the leader, shared her excitement about the new album, noting that “LOVE ATTACK” helped the group gain significant international attention, making “Glow Up” even more important to them.
She emphasized that the album’s theme revolves around growth and hope, offering a glimpse into their journey as a group.
Improved Teamwork and Global Goals
As they approach their first anniversary in March, RESCENE reflected on their improved teamwork, which they credit for the success of this new release.
Minami, the group’s Japanese member, shared how their collaboration has strengthened over time, even mentioning that her Korean skills have also “glowed up.”
With a growing fanbase, especially internationally, the group has their sights set on expanding their reach. Performing at the Tokyo Tower Sky Stadium in Japan was a milestone for them, and the group hopes to perform on even more global stages in the future.
