More than 12 years after its release, Justin Bieber’s album Journals has finally entered the Billboard 200 for the first time. The project debuts at No. 111 on the April 25 chart, marking a surprising comeback moment for the long-overlooked release.
The late chart entry follows Bieber’s headline performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026. His sets, streamed live on YouTube, sparked a massive surge in streams across his catalog.
Journals earned nearly 13,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the week ending April 16. That is a huge 192% jump compared to the previous week, showing how strong fan interest became after Coachella.
The album originally dropped in December 2013 as an iTunes-exclusive release. At the time, its sales were not counted toward chart rankings, which is why it never appeared on the Billboard 200—until now.
Bieber’s recent album SWAG also saw a big boost. It jumped from No. 55 to No. 7 with 43,000 units, rising 160% after his festival performances.
Five of his older albums also returned to the chart, including Purpose, Believe, My World 2.0, Justice, and My World. Each one saw major gains in streams and sales.
In total, Bieber now has seven albums on the Billboard 200 at the same time. This is the highest number in his career, beating his previous record of four back in 2012.
The next chart update could show even bigger numbers, as it will include data from Coachella’s second weekend. For now, Journals has finally secured its place in chart history.
