Jung Kook has said he has some regrets about his contribution to BTS’ latest album, ARIRANG. The singer shared his thoughts in a recent interview published on 20 April.
He said that while he felt proud to take part in the songwriting process, he believes he could have done more. Jung Kook co-wrote four tracks on the album, including “Alien”, “FYA”, “2.0” and “Hooligan”.
Reflecting on the experience, he said there was “one thing” he still thinks about. He questioned whether he had used his time well during the production period and said he has “a lot of regrets” about not contributing more.
Despite his comments, the album has seen strong success. ARIRANG is currently in its third week at number one on the Billboard 200.
The project marks the group’s first full-length album together since 2020. All members contributed to the songwriting, making it a collaborative effort.
Jung Kook also spoke about the track “Hooligan”, saying he quickly developed its melody after hearing the beat. He said it felt rewarding when the song was selected for the final tracklist.
The group is currently on a global stadium tour in support of the album. The release has been widely followed by fans around the world.
Further performances and promotions are expected as the group continues its comeback activities.
