JioHotstar, a new streaming platform from Viacom18 and Star India, has launched, combining content from both companies along with international studios like NBC Universal Peacock, Warner Bros, Discovery, HBO, and Paramount.

The platform offers content in 10 languages, including live sports like IPL, ICC tournaments, and the English Premier League.

JioHotstar introduces several ad-supported plans, with the most affordable plan priced at Rs 149 for three months.

Paid plans offer higher resolution and additional features, as shown below:

  • Mobile Plan: The cheapest plan, Rs 149 for 3 months, offers HD (720p) resolution on one mobile device at a time. A better deal is the Rs 499 annual plan.
  • Super Plan: This plan, costing Rs 299 for 3 months or Rs 899 for 12 months, provides FullHD (1080p) resolution, Dolby Atmos support, and access on two devices.
  • Premium Plan: The ad-free Premium plan is priced higher, offering 4K resolution and access on up to four devices. However, ads may still appear during live sports.

Existing JioCinema or Disney+ Hotstar subscriptions will remain valid until the next payment cycle, after which users must switch to JioHotstar plans.
