Although Apple is still rolling out updates for iOS 18, the focus is already shifting to iOS 19, expected to arrive in September 2025.

According to a report from iPhoneSoft, all iPhone models that support iOS 18 will also receive iOS 19, including older models like the iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR, which were released in 2018.

These models will continue to receive software updates for at least another year.

However, the news isn’t as positive for older iPads. The seventh-generation iPad, released in 2019, will not receive the iPadOS 19 update due to its A10 processor.

As for iOS 19’s features, the report suggests it may have fewer new additions compared to iOS 18, aside from the ongoing AI enhancements introduced in iOS 18.

Developer previews for iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 are expected to be released during WWDC 2025 in June, with the stable versions available in September.
