iPhone SE 4 Will Outshine Upper Mid-Range Android Phones with Apple Intelligence

Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4, expected to launch in March 2025 for under $500, could offer a significant edge over its upper mid-range Android competitors.

While the SE series has traditionally been a more affordable alternative to the flagship iPhones, the SE 4 is rumored to include some standout features that could elevate it in the crowded budget smartphone market.

One of the most notable upgrades is the inclusion of Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI-driven tools currently available on the iPhone 15 Pro models and the iPhone 16 series.

This includes features like Genmoji, Writing Tools, Image Playground, and ChatGPT integration—capabilities that are rare or non-existent in the Android mid-range space. These tools could provide a unique advantage to the SE 4, offering a premium experience at a more affordable price.

The SE 4 is also expected to be powered by either the A17 Pro or A18 SoC, both of which support Apple Intelligence. This would make the SE 4 one of the first in its lineup to include such advanced hardware, and it’s rumored to come with at least 8GB of RAM, ensuring smooth performance for demanding tasks.

However, the SE 4 will reportedly cut some corners in other areas. It’s expected to feature a single 48MP rear camera, a departure from the dual-camera setup seen in many of the latest mid-range Android devices.

The phone will also likely sport a notch similar to the iPhone 14, unlike the iPhone 16’s Dynamic Island. On the bright side, it’s rumored to come with an edge-to-edge OLED display and a redesigned exterior shell, making it feel more premium despite its affordable price tag.

With low stock levels of the iPhone SE 3 at Apple Stores, an imminent launch for the SE 4 seems likely. If these rumors hold true, the iPhone SE 4 could offer a compelling alternative to upper mid-range Android phones, bringing Apple’s cutting-edge features to a more budget-friendly price point.
