Apple has announced the release of iOS 18.3, which is expected to be available today or in the next few days.

The update introduces several new features and improvements, including changes to notifications, enhancements to Visual Intelligence, and updates to the Calculator app.

Key Features in iOS 18.3:

Notification Summary Changes: The update fixes issues with the Apple Intelligence notification summaries. Summarized notifications now appear with italicized text for easier identification. Apple has promised further improvements in future updates.

Visual Intelligence Upgrades: iPhone 16 models get new Visual Intelligence features, including the ability to add events to the Calendar from posters or flyers and identify animals and plants in the surroundings.

Calculator App Enhancement: A small but useful feature is reintroduced in the Calculator app. Tapping the equals sign twice now repeats the last mathematical operation, which is handy for tasks like calculating compound interest.

Black Unity Collection: To honor Black History Month, Apple is releasing a special-edition Black Unity Sport Loop for the Apple Watch, along with a Unity Rhythm watch face and new iPhone and iPad wallpapers. These will be available with iOS 18.3.

Bug Fixes: The update resolves issues with Siri and Apple Music, including the disappearing keyboard during typed Siri requests and audio continuing after closing Apple Music.

Coming Soon: iOS 18.3 also references future robot vacuum support in the Home app, though this feature is not yet active and will likely be available in a future update.
