HyperOS 2 OTA Update Brings Super XiaoAI and System Enhancements

Xiaomi has officially launched the first major OTA (Over-the-Air) upgrade for HyperOS 2.

This update brings many new features and improvements, marking a significant step forward for Xiaomi’s operating system.

Key Features of the HyperOS 2 Upgrade

Super XiaoAI Officially Released: The upgrade includes the official version of Super XiaoAI, Xiaomi’s advanced AI assistant. It has improved natural language processing, multitasking, and integration with Xiaomi’s smart devices. This makes it easier to control smart home devices and manage daily tasks.

System Optimizations: The update improves system stability and makes animations smoother. It also enhances multitasking performance and power efficiency, ensuring a better overall experience.

New Design Changes: The Control Center, recent apps layout, and sound panel have all been redesigned for better usability and a more intuitive interface.

Devices Receiving the Update

The update is being rolled out in stages, starting with the following models:

• Xiaomi 15 Series
• Xiaomi 14 Series
• Redmi K80 Series
• Redmi K70 Ultra

This rollout will expand to more devices in January 2025.

What is Grayscale Testing?

Grayscale testing means the update is first released to a small group of users to check its stability and compatibility. This helps Xiaomi fix any bugs before the update reaches a wider audience.

How to Check for the Update

1. Go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.
2. If you’re part of the first group, the update notification will appear.
3. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi and has enough battery for the update.
