How to Get MagSafe Charging on an iPhone 16e

Apple’s iPhone 16e is a powerful and stylish device, but it lacks MagSafe wireless charging.

While other iPhone 16 models support the latest Qi2 standard, the iPhone 16e is limited to older Qi1 wireless charging at just 7.5W. However, there are ways to add MagSafe functionality to this device.

    Use a MagSafe-Compatible Case

The easiest way to enable MagSafe charging is by using a specially designed case. Some third-party manufacturers offer cases with built-in MagSafe magnets.

One good option is ESR’s MagSafe-compatible case, which is affordable and works with Apple’s latest handset.

    Use a MagSafe Adapter Ring

Another simple method is to attach a MagSafe adapter ring to your existing case. The PopSockets adapter ring is a great choice.

It allows integration with MagSafe accessories but does not work with silicone, textured, or anti-fingerprint-coated cases.

    Stick to Wired Charging

If MagSafe is not essential, the traditional USB-C charging method is still the best way to charge your iPhone 16e quickly. Wired charging provides faster speeds compared to the 7.5W wireless charging limit.

While the iPhone 16e does not support MagSafe out of the box, these simple solutions can help users enjoy MagSafe accessories and wireless charging without upgrading to a more expensive model.
