Ahead of the highly anticipated GTA 6, Rockstar Games is offering a free download of GTA 5 for PS4 and PS5 users. However, there are some requirements to claim the offer.
To get GTA 5 for free, players must have a PS Plus Extra or PS Plus Premium subscription, as GTA 5 is now included in these tiers. A PS Plus Essential subscription will not work.
Unfortunately, this offer is not available on Xbox or PC platforms, even though GTA 5 is available on those systems.
This isn’t the first time GTA 5 has been available via PS Plus, but it was removed previously.
As long as it remains in the PS Plus Extra and Premium libraries, subscribers can download and play it for free. However, once it leaves the service, free access will end.
To download GTA 5 on PS4 or PS5, you’ll need 91 GB (PS4) or 95 GB (PS5) of free space. This download includes both GTA 5 and GTA Online.
