HMD has unveiled its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the HMD Key. This device is designed for users seeking a simple, no-frills smartphone experience at an incredibly low price.
The HMD Key features a 6.52-inch LCD display with a 576×1,280 resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate.
It is powered by the Unisoc 9832E chipset, supported by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. The device is equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging.
Running on Android 14 Go, the HMD Key is optimized for its modest hardware, ensuring smoother performance despite its limited RAM.
The phone is promised two years of quarterly security updates, but no additional software features.
The phone has a single 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera for basic photography needs.
It also includes Bluetooth 4.2, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C port, and is IP52 rated for dust and splash resistance.
