Thomas ‘Twinbeard’ Petersson, the community manager for Helldivers 2, has announced his departure from the role after a fulfilling stint of connecting players with the development team.

In his heartfelt farewell message on Discord, Petersson expressed gratitude for the fans’ support throughout his time with Arrowhead Game Studios.

He mentioned the challenges, including “rough patches,” but assured players that the game has significantly improved and has a bright future ahead.

While Petersson didn’t provide specifics on why he’s leaving, he acknowledged there were things he couldn’t always share with the community, citing the nature of his role.

Despite this, he emphasized his deep appreciation for the Helldivers 2 player base and the team’s progress.

As his time with Arrowhead ends, he encouraged players to remain patient with the developers and to continue supporting the game, even if progress takes time.

Although he’s stepping down as the official spokesperson for the studio, Petersson assured fans that he would still be around, though no longer representing Arrowhead in an official capacity.
