After months of speculation, Rockstar Games has reaffirmed that GTA VI will still be launching in 2025, despite recent rumours suggesting a delay to 2026.

The game’s release date has been a hot topic since the first trailer dropped in late 2023.

While there were concerns about the game’s vast scope and the level of polish required, Rockstar’s resources and talent are expected to push the game across the finish line.

Reassurance from Rockstar’s Senior Talent Specialist

Georgio Jankowski, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Rockstar Games, added fuel to the fire with a LinkedIn post, saying, “With 2025 kicking off and shaping up to be one of the most exciting years ahead here at Rockstar, it couldn’t be a better time to have a look at our open positions and consider applying.”

Many fans are hopeful that this is a hint that GTA VI is still on track for its 2025 release.

Financial Outlook Supports 2025 Launch

Further reassurance comes from Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, which recently projected net bookings for 2025 to exceed $7 billion.

Given the massive revenue GTA VI is expected to generate, it’s clear that the game will play a major role in this success.

So, while fans eagerly await the second trailer and more details, it looks like GTA VI is still set for a 2025 launch.
