GTA Online players are once again speculating about the next GTA 6 trailer, and this time the theory is tied to Rockstar’s latest update.
The Year of the Snake update has introduced a feature allowing developers to change the moon, sparking renewed interest in the “moon theory.”
This theory originally emerged during the 2023 Moon Festival event, when the phases of the moon aligned with the debut of GTA 6’s first trailer on December 5, 2023.
Since then, fans have been searching for celestial clues, hoping the moon might signal the second trailer’s arrival.
The new update includes a Waxing Crescent Moon, which will occur in real life from January 29 to February 5.
Players are particularly focused on January 30, as a shipping container in the game displayed numbers that add up to 30, hinting at a potential reveal date.
Adding to the speculation, Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has an investor call scheduled for February 6, just after the Waxing Crescent Moon ends.
Past Rockstar releases, such as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, have seen release dates announced in similar timeframes.
With over a year since the first trailer and no significant updates, fans are eager for any hint about GTA 6.
Whether the moon theory holds true remains to be seen, but all eyes are on late January and early February for potential news.
Rockstar’s silence continues to fuel speculation, and with so many coincidences aligning, fans are hopeful that the long wait for the next GTA 6 trailer is nearly over.
