Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 6 is still on track for a Fall 2025 release, but only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. PC players, however, are once again left in the dark.
Since the game’s announcement in December 2023, Rockstar has made no mention of a PC version. Many fans expected an update during
Take-Two Interactive’s latest financial report, but there was nothing—just another confirmation that the game is coming to consoles.
Given Rockstar’s history, a PC release is likely, but it may not arrive until 2026 or later. Both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on PC over a year after their console debuts.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick highlighted the success of GTA V, which has sold over 210 million copies, proving that Rockstar knows its audience well.
Still, PC gamers are frustrated. One fan summed it up: “We consume too, you know!” With no official word, many are left wondering when—or if—they’ll get to play GTA VI on their platform of choice.
Perhaps May’s earnings call will bring some clarity. Until then, PC players are stuck waiting—again.
